The second inning proved decisive, as Ahome exploded for seven runs to take full control of the game. Victor M laid down a well-executed sacrifice bunt to bring in a run, followed by a bases-loaded walk from Francisco C. Derek G then stepped up and delivered the big blow of the inning — a three-run single that cleared the bases. Angel I added an RBI single, and Sebastian G capped the rally with a double to drive in another, stretching the lead to 9–0.

In the third, Derek struck again, collecting his third hit of the game with a two-run single that pushed the score to 11–0 and sealed a commanding win via the run rule. On the mound, Alex O was electric for Ahome Los Mochis. The right-hander tossed four no-hit innings, striking out nine batters without issuing a single walk. His dominant performance kept Youngsville’s offense off balance all game long. J. B took the mound first for Youngsville, LA and allowed five runs (one earned) on two hits over 1.2 innings, striking out one and walking two.

In addition to his five RBIs, Derek G also showed his speed on the basepaths, swiping two bases to round out a stellar all-around performance. Ahome Los Mochis displayed discipline and execution across the board, combining sharp hitting with aggressive base running and flawless pitching. With the win, Ahome Los Mochis, Mexico sent a clear message in tournament play, backed by a powerful offensive outburst and a lights-out showing on the mound.

Los Mochis, Mexico will face Shenzhen, China on August 2nd at 11AM. Youngsville, LA will face Chicago, IL on August 2 at 9AM.
